Tl;dr- I’m a mess, new Splinters chapter in a few hours, I will focus on getting part 1 of Trials out for you this weekend, and The Stars aren’t Shining has been split into Rainleaf and Cyan’s love story (with the same name) and a Lightning SE.
          
          Hey guys! It has been a HOT minute, hasn’t it? My sincerest apologies. Two main reasons for this- one, because it’s been mock week and it has been hell, and two, because my brain has been jumping around and cannot contain inspiration for one thing, so I have about twenty new OCs and about five new chunky books that I just *have* to get written on paper.
          
          But I am going to attempt to get my life into order! I’ve got another Splinters chapter coming from you soon. It’s a little breather between the darkness of the world! 
          
          My main priority is getting Part One of The Trials of Life out for you guys. The Parts will probably be updated sporadically, but each upload will have 5-6 chapters. After that, I’ll be able to gage a reaction, and I find that audience opinions helps me keep motivated. 
          
          Finally, you’ve probably forgotten about The Stars aren’t Shining- the book that will tell the story of the WolfClan Rebellion. It’s going to be split into two books- one telling Lightning’s story, one telling Ryan’s story.
          
          Ryan is the RainleafXCyan ship name! On the surface it’ll be similar to Smokecicle, but I’m exploring what could’ve happened if it went in a complete other direction. Tbh I don’t expect it to be too popular, but I love these two.
          
          Lightning will be having her super edition- it’s currently unnamed- name suggestions! Please! that will give Rockfall backstory too, as well as showing how they used to be friends. I’m pretty excited for it!
          
          So yeah. That’s it. Sorry this was so long!

          THE TRIALS OF LIFE a new story by Amberleaf!
          (Trials has ten parts; I will be dropping chapters every time I release a new part!)
          
          WANTED: 
          Young kits and apprentices of StarClan. Bring your sharpest claws, your strongest will and your kindest heart for a chance to live again.
          
          Every one hundred moons, StarClan offers a chance for ten kits and apprentices, who died before they had the chance to live, to be reborn in a brand new body, to get a second chance. The catch? They must compete in ten trials, spread across for moons, that will challenge every aspect of their being. The kind will be pitted against the clever, the strong against the sly, and the young cats will have to ask the ultimate question: what way of living is ultimately… right?
          
          MEET THE CONTESTANTS:
          Safari, who died in a flood.
          Spiderpaw, killed in a skirmish.
          Dustpaw, who had to be killed.
          Ashkit, who died of silentcough.
          Foxpaw, killed in battle.
          Swallowkit, killed by a fox.
          Beetlekit, who drowned.
          Saffronkit, who froze to death.
          Angelkit, who died of sickness.
          Hopekit, who died of sickness.
          
          Angelkit died before she opened her eyes. Before she was given her name. 
          Angelkit died before she got a chance to live.
          But in her few moons amongst the Stars, she has already seen everything life has to offer- and oh, how she longs to experience it. She's seen all the love and all the heartbreak, and she knows how easy it is to cause a cat pain. 
          So, when she is chosen for the Trials of Life, she makes a solemn vow to be kind at all cost.
          But as the trials go on, this vow is tested. Angelkit fails her first trial and from then on, her kind approach to the trials keeps on betraying her, and she finds herself more and more desperate.
          Because when life is at stake, how much would you sacrifice for it?
