I may not have a lot of followers but those that do follow me are likely here because of my few very short stories/drafts.
Lately, when I post criticism on other stories and try to voice my opinion fairly, these authors become angry that I don't automatically praise their book as the incredible work of art they believe it to be. They then use my small, barely anything content as a way to discredit everything I say.
I've gotten "Your story isn't as popular so I'm right and you're wrong."
"I actually have a whole novel written so I'm right and you're wrong."
"You point out a cliche in my book? Well I'm going to take the single rough chapter of a book you wrote 3 years ago and use it to discredit all the criticism you've given."
It's just not worth it guys, my books aren't garnering anything so it's no big deal to me. Please just don't let popular authors turn into bullies.
