Hello there...
You know, I can think up loads of ideas to write about pretty much anything. Be it a fictional novel, an art blog or a creative narrative of some sort... But when it comes to writing about myself... I draw a blank.
I have no idea, what to write about myself. This is my biggest wall yet.
Well, I guess I'm just gonna say this;
I love making up stories. And I absolutely love reading other people's work as well. Especially novice writers. Because I am a novice myself, and I find comfort in knowing that there's someone else in the same boat, in which I, sent myself adrift into this wast world of creativity. And I find comfort in supporting those talents because every greatness has a humble beginning and every humble beginning has greatness within just waiting to be discovered.
In advance, I would like to say how much I appreciate anyone who took the time to read my rooky work. Your support means a lot to me.
P.S.
The style in which I chose to write can seem unusual to some of you because it is not particularly common to English literature. (I Use dashes (-) instead of quotation ("") marks for my dialogue, and quotation marks to project characters' thoughts.) It is a style that's used in the literature of my culture. I chose that particular style for my writing, to express a part of who I am and where I come from.
You will also find that I use a lot of double-spacing between paragraphs, dialogue and thoughts. I do this for two reasons:
1. As someone who's English is not the first language, I find the continuous text with dialogue and thoughts mixed in a bit heavy, overwhelming and difficult to read. So, I use spaces to separate those for clarity. I find things easier to read by sections.
2. I also do it for dramatic effect. As I read a story, I like to experience the emotions projected in the storyline. If the story is in a jammed, continuous text, I find myself just monotonously glazing over it, completely missing the feel of the narrative.
- LOST. In thought.
