During the Great Recession, Amy's mentor was Emily Dickinson, of whom she's read all 1800 poems. Although separated by many years and coming from very different backgrouds, she wanted to study her and learn what set her apart from other poets. She was soon inspired to write her own poetry and began in earnest, only to discover that it was possible. Each poem became an experiment. Her work reveals a humble background, small moments and personal discoveries.
BTW, she also happens to maintain the largest online paranormal dictionary, The Mystica, and the Google Drive link here goes to it. There is surely a kernel of truth somewhere in there.
