I am completely obsessed with The Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit. In fact, I could use up this whole space to give a speech about those books... But I suppose I'm obligated to talk about me.
My Elvish name is Anarien Míriel Laurelin, but I go by Anaria for short. I really love Middle-Earth, chocolate, cats, and trees. I also love learning, and all my classmates think I'm crazy because I like school. If I could travel anywhere, I would go to New Zealand and Iceland, but I'd much prefer to live in California to either of those places. My favorite sport is figure skating. I play piano and flute, but I'm going to start harp, and I'd love to learn cello, violin, clarinet, and french horn. I like listening to movie soundtracks (can you guess which ones?) the most, but I also love classical and jazz music.
I guess I'm a bit of a "pop-culture hermit" because I don't like television, pop music, or any of the classic teenage obsessions. I also dislike hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, etc., but I definitely make up for that in chocolate and dessert.
If something annoys me, I say, "Curses and splashes" or "Confusticate and bebother this__________", both quotes from The Hobbit. Every other thing reminds me of something from The Hobbit or Lord of the Rings. In fact, I make a reference to it in almost every sentence and quote it all the time to my friends. I think you can see I'm a little obsessive...
Anyways, check out my new story, The Portal! It's just the first chapter, but I hope to continue it in my spare time (what spare time do we have in this day and age, anyway??)
