@AndiBlackbird Well, they do say that hurt people hurt people and I have experienced that firsthand. Probably even done some myself. And I’m not dreaming of some utopia or hippie heaven or whatever. I’m just noticing that people in general feel more depressed and more secluded than they used to be. And quite often they go for a quick fix on their smartphones, myself included. It’s faster than brewing a tea, going for a walk, reading a book, calling a friend, journaling or crafting. Or in my case going through all the preparations needed to create art. But the way I see it, it doesn’t actually fixes anything, it’s just making us forget it for a moment. And then we need another moment and another and we get more and more broken because we don’t take the time to actually fix it. The deeper our cracks run, the harder we try to keep ourselves together instead of allowing ourselves to be vulnerable, until we are just bubbles of solitude brushing against each other in this amalgam of life.
