A.R. Diaz grew up amid prairie grass and Aztec temples. This upbringing gave her a wanderer spirit and an untamable imagination, which led to a love for traveling. However, she is currently trapped at the University of Ottawa, completing a B.A. in Anthropology. Her only escape is through writing and painting. Her priority is to write about her experiences of being a second-generation immigrant, a person of colour, LGBTQ2+, and of Zapotec ancestry.
