I am a writer with a penchant for exploring what makes characters who they are and a passion for putting them through hell twice over to see what makes them tick. I approach my work with the belief that there is no difference between characters and plot - characters should drive the story, their actions should create conflict, and their choices should always have consequences. Without well-developed characters, plot is pointless.
Science Fiction is my drug of choice, but I dally in Noir Detective Thrillers, Fantasy - of various flavors - and, when inspiration strikes, the occasional Romance. However, a majority of the work I display here is fan fiction and whatever other projects I decide need to be written for the sake of my love of writing, rather than for publication.
I welcome and even greatly appreciate feedback, but bear in mind that the most helpful critiques almost always come in the form of communicating that something felt wrong - whether it's that the story confused the reader in some way, or a section may have felt awkward, or perhaps some portion just didn't "do it" for the reader. Trying to pinpoint exactly what was done wrong and how to fix it, however, is rarely correct and useful critique.
