Dear Andrew. I have just completed my 4th or 5th read of your book starship walker. It is such an amazing book. Everything rings true in the story. I simply love it. Have you been working further on the sequel?

AndrewMcBurnie

@VarshaRamdhony Thanks; I'm afraid I haven't been doing very much. I've been overseas (in the UK) for a while, and returned to Australia (Sydney) a bit tired. Also we have to find a new home. I have begun a couple of short stories (not SF), which might get me warmed up.

Hi Andrew, Hope you're well =)

Glad you're well. I look forward to your sequel. Hope the programming language learning goes alright)

@DaryllSolienMakanuey I'm reasonably well, thanks (for a 69-year-old). I started a sequel to Starship Walker a while ago, but have been distracted by travel, house repairs and learning a new programming language that's currently frying my brain)

Need I say anything with words that are always short of the complete experience I had when I read your book? Your amazingly simple yet wonderful style of writing amazeda lot of people, for sure. Words are never enough to describe the wonder that your creation is!

RajuRahaAtanu

At an innocent universe young but old,
Devious creatures glow flowing past the cold,
Unseen tales that morph futures yet unsold,
Visions of your Star Walker are yet to unfold!

RajuRahaAtanu

@RajuRahaAtanu blessed are those who step aside: witness moulds reality an eternity in rhythms last not just
For those who ski past in a jiffy!

@RajuRahaAtanu Thanks, my partner Catherine wrote a reply, in a slightly different poetic mode:

The cold eye of an uncaring universe.
The sure step of a Star Walker
            charting time and consciousness.
            Eternity.

            (...hope you enjoyed the book)

Hi,

Do you have plan to write a sequel to starship walker?

z4k4ri4

Hope you get better soon and keep on writing!

Lately I notice a pattern, story written by old writer is better than younger one, maybe that's life experience factor but certainly their stories is more richer and more realistic.

@z4k4ri4 Yes, but it's going slowly, because I have a few health problems at the moment.

I hope this finds you in good health and spirits. Life is challenging at times. Star walks sound easier the way you portray them. Thank you for an engaging read. I look forward to your next book in the series. Till then... may the stars shine upon your walk.

Any further on the possibility of a sequel to starship walker?

cloudychameleon

@AndrewMcBurnie I'm also very interested in a sequel to Starship Walker. I think I'd prefer some kind of episodic format - that way I can enjoy it for longer because I won't be able to read it all at once! :P

@ElaraZheng Interesting comment... hmm, I was brought up on series and episodes, so I'm used to that mode of delivery. My expectation (no dates) is that, when I start, to put up maybe three or four chapters at once, then episodes after that.

I hope the distractions dissipate soon. I liked the cover for the first book, looking forward to seeing the next. Are you planning on posting a chapter a week or as a complete book? I don't like the former style of book posting actually, it is a frustrating way to read.
