Is “John” finished?
Honestly the book left me really conflicted. On one hand; the bones of the story are pretty reasonable. I know the ending should probably seem like a happy one but I just sort of felt sad for all parties.
I don’t disagree with any point of the story (for what that’s worth, if anything) it just sort of felt sorry for everyone.
I’m also not pretending to be any kind of expert, but I definitely think the pacing is VERY fast. It would be nice to see it fleshed out a little more. See more of their relationship development and just really fill in a lot of the rushed bits.
Mostly though, well done. This book had an impact on me as a reader. Thank you for sharing.

I admit, I’m just as conflicted about it as you are! I plan on going over it with a fine-tooth comb and trying to work on some of the problems you had with it (frankly, I have the same problems you did).
