I was born in Houston, Texas in 1977, to a interesting family. My mother and father separated. I lived with my mother who later remarried to a wonderful man. We moved around a lot until we settled down in Deep East Texas. I married at a young age had my son two years later, my marriage was rocky. I later got divorced and have been raising my son as a single mom ever. I work full time as a nurse in a nontraditional setting, I see things most people can't imagine and will never see in their lives. I fight to save peoples lives, sometimes I lose sometimes I win. It is the emotional roller coaster of that job that led me to writing. I am able to put those emotions into my characters and let them out of my heart and soul.

In 2006 I was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease, I have fought to live a normal life every day since. I am beating the odds when it comes to that disease. In 2013 I suddenly lost the use of my arm and was having extreme pain. I spent a week in the hospital before I was diagnosed with another rare disease that is part of the nervous system. Once again I am beating the odds I have regained the use of my arm and have gotten the pain under control. I am back at work as a nurse. Have no fear I will continue to write.
