Hey everyone. Ok, so came back from the dead just to rant. I wasn't aware of this mirror site teenfic.net thing until today. Perhaps most of you already know about it. But if you don't, this website basically copy pastes user stories from Wattpad. This is stealing, its plagiarism and its illegal. But there's nothing that can be done about it. I guess Wattpad had been trying to have this website removed or something but I believe nothing was done in the end. My entire profile and works are copied and pasted onto it from A to Z. This has been going on since September 2020 i guess. Your books might have been plagiarised as well. One more thing, this website can also spread malware. Anyway, having my work stolen is not what I had signed up for when i had joined Wattpad. This is supposed to be a safe community for authors. Its clearly not. I am unpublishing both of my works. Hopefully they will get removed from that damned mirror site as well. stay safe everyone. :)

@AngelDirectioner15 yeah same but i’m like whatever man. mirror sites are common. even if you’re worried about copy paste function enabled, now you can copy text on photos on iphones. have you seen novelhd.com? they actually have admins that make an effort to copy your books manually

@AngelDirectioner15 Yep, happened to me too. There are many mirror websites like that one but luckily enough, I only publish fanfics so that's what got copied. But I won't have much hope about getting your work outta those sites they just... won't. I've tried. The only thing I can suggest you to counter that is keep receipts of you book and its publishing date on wattpad (in case you go for proper publishing). Also; these mirror sites normally credit the authors as it is but if it doesn't, you can mention your credentials in the book and they'll copy-paste it without checking. Beyond that, I'll highly suggest you to try other apps like AO3 for publishing if you still wanna continue doing so!
