Hi just a suggestion, in Bengal there is a festival of jamaishosti where they celebrate by welcoming the son and law and then the mother in law makes food for the son in law. It is said that the number of items in the plate is equal to the love the mother in law has for her son in law. I just wanted you to incorporate this scene in kavayansh's or adwait's Book. You have written All the books so well that we don't want the books to end

I'm a little bit sensitive, you know jidr expectations lgayi toh udr hurt hoti hu. So that's why men are not part of this celebration because in the past, it was considered a sharam lihaz thing. Each part of India is facing child marriages, here in Kashmir we are facing late marriage. ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ

@Chudail_hu_main_ No, no, don't think like that and I am genuinely sorry if I made you feel ignored. As for the celebration of a girl's first period in Assam, yes it is true that Assamese families celebrate it (Assam is home to many different communities apart from Assamese people as well). The celebration is often conducted almost like a wedding ceremony. While it sounds beautiful and is viewed much more positively today, its historical roots are something I personally don't like. From what I have learned from my Assamese friends, this tradition was originally linked to the belief that a girl was ready to begin her married life. In the past, when child marriage was unfortunately common a bride would often remain at her parents' house even after marriage until she got her first period. Once she did, it was celebrated as the beginning of her womanhood, and she would then be sent to live with her husband. So yes, celebrating a girl's first period is a lovely concept. But the original reason behind the tradition isn't something I personally support even though its meaning has changed significantly over time for many families.
