I have no idea what I'm talking about, so idk if it helps, but write letters? maybe something every day and send it every week or something, so he knows what you're up to? idk how often he can write but maybe that'll make it so he writes you too. I feel like letters are more intimite that texts or something. And try to videocall as often as you can. But people have done it before, you got this!
