Born and raised in the North East of England, Andrew Giles spent most of his youth hating school and playing video games. It wasn't until his late teens that he discovered a love of reading and creating literature of his own. He joined the British Army at the age of twenty, spending more than nine years in The Light Dragoons, England's Northern Cavalry, deploying on tours of Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan. Currently lives with his wife and son in Sunderland.

Currently working on the follow up book to More Than Blood, the first book in the Ryan Shaw series.
