So, with the release of RUIN, it is canon that William died in Pizzeria sim and the mimic was Glitchtrap and Burntrap. If anyone remembers when I sent that email to game theory, it was about Burntrap not being William. To be honest, I thought it was Henry Emily, but I wasn't all wrong.
