Hey everybody! It would mean so much to me if you all read my new book called Robyn Hood
Excerpt:
He has this thing for digital watches; the bulky, ugly, expensive, and plastic ones with built in stop watches. He loves them. It is going to be his birthday in two weeks and all I have is 40 bucks and one of those flattened oval souvenir pennies that cost fifty one cents. I’m cramming for the perfect gift but my boyfriend is more on the rich side of town so he has money to blow apparently. So when I say these watches are expensive, I mean it.
My fingers skim over the two 20 dollar bills folded neatly and tightly in my front left pocket. How am I supposed to buy a good watch with $40, and a souvenir coin? Maybe I could bargain with the salesman, or flash him. But, I’m pretty sure the latter would probably have me detained for public indecency. Oh well, it looks like I will be groveling today or just buying him a watch from Target, I’m sure he’ll love it. It is the thought that counts, right?
