After watching Avatar Fire and Ash... I desperately needed more Varang!

Female villains that are ruthless and power-hungry are so rare nowadays in fiction, and she's absolutely mesmerizing! My unhinged wife :3

21 December 1549 - Death of Marguerite, Queen of Navarre

Marguerite rose to proeminence with her brother Francis I. Once he became king, she became his political advisor, his confidante and her influence over him and the French Renaissance was extraordinary. Francis trusted her to act in his name in all matters, reffering to her as "my other self".

She exchanged letters with Vittoria Colonna, Henry VIII, Erasmus and even Suleyman I among others. In 1526 she travelled to Spain to meet with Emperor Charles V and negotiate the Treaty of Madrid. Charles found her too clever and tired of her political maneuvers. Marguerite later wrote a comedy where she portrayed Charles as a donkey.

She was a prolific writer, a role model for Anne Boleyn, Elizabeth I, Catherine de' Medici and Katherine Parr, who admired her and her works. Anne (who served her) and Catherine (who was trained and educated by her) were especially attached to her. She was a patron of the arts - Leonardo da Vinci left Italy and joined her court - and philantropist. She battled corruption, worked to improve conditions in hospitals and created safe havens for children and women.

Male historians unkindly portray Marguerite as overbearing or controlling - she certainly enjoyed power, but at times when she was too tired or ill Francis requested her to stay and handle politics.

The Venetian ambassador reported: "The sister is in great repute here. The King insisted for her to stay at Court with him, so great honour and respect are paid to her. She knows everything, they communicate everything to her and she is very powerful." Brantôme wrote: "Whenever the king had great affairs of state in hand he consulted his sister; frequently he left all to her decision."

No beauty, Marguerite was attractive and very charismatic, with violet eyes, of tall stature, captivating, quick-witted and quick to laugh. She died at the age of 57 from a lung inflammation.

Heathcliff: Edgar, you're playing checkers... I'm digging up your dead wife, removing a part of her coffin and a part of my coffin so I can be with Cathy in death for all eternity without anything separating us!!!

hello, bunaa!! ti am citit cartile, cred ca 3 din ele, si ma tot intorc aici periodic doar pentru a verifica daca ai mai anuntat ceva nou despre "Printesa Diavolului" sau daca ai mai postat capitole noi (fac asta de vreo 3 ani incoace) si nu pot sa nu mi ascund dezamagirea de fiecare data cand vad ca nu te ai mai intors la acest absolute masterpiece. am trecut peste peioada cand citeam pe wattpad dar cartea asta ma bantuie in vise, voiam sa te intreb daca ai de gand sa o continui, publici sau sa o abandonezi total, un mic anunt ar fi incredibil si a sight for very sore eyes. so that's all, si sper sa aud doar de bine (((: have an awesome day/night.

@AnnaFeodorovna te inteleg, imi imagine cat de greu e (eu sunt in anul 2 la stiinte politice), si no worries nu e nici o graba, whenever you can si whenever you want to, can't rush greatness (((: !!! si multumesc pentru raspuns, doar gandul ca o sa fie continuata deja mi-a facut ziua mai buna, ma simt eliberata, cum s-ar spune ((: iti urez succes in continuare cu toate si spor mai departe, you are literally godsend!!

@15claudia18 Helloo, hello! The good news is that cartea mă bântuie și pe mine la fel de mult! Chiar nu a fost intenția mea să o las atât de mult în stand by - atât doar că facultatea and the rest came in the way! I hope you have a wonderful day! <33

@SebasChanUwU Realest ever! And some people reducing their connection to "maternal"/"basic compassion" and not romantic love when Guillermo himself says that last scene is their wedding and she is his bride... like come on. It's perfectly fine to admit if you find it creepy or disgusting, but the romance is there lol.

Buna,
