Do Yorkists say “roses are white” to their lovers?

Hey uhh writers, please stop making extremely privileged historical figures who likely oppressed others with their power modern metaphors for minorities, it’s super cringe, thanks. This has been digging away at me all day and I had to get it off my mind. (yes this is a Hamilton callout)

All I’m saying is that you never hear “shipping historical figures is wrong” when there’s a historically inaccurate straight couple. It mostly boils down to homophobia, I’ve seen with my own eyes people being attacked for talking about WLW/MLM ships which have a lot of historical evidence to support them. I’ve never got why same gender love in historical fiction is so controversial, I could get less controversy making Katherine Howard a notorious cheating flirt than portraying her as bi.
