I have added a poll to the first chapter of My Alien Baby. Please read it and vote. I'm thinking of turning the story into a novel and I would like your votes. Thanks.

In the Life Gives You Lemons novella that I'm entering in the ONC, the point of view has been switched from third person to first person. I have rewritten the first chapter to reflect this change.

Here is a sample from the new chapter.

Cass answered on the fifth ring. Her "Hey, Mom," sounded winded to my ears.

          "Are you having a party?"

          "Nope. I'm on the treadmill."

"You're running and talking at the same time? God, I wish I had your stamina."

          "What do you want Mom?"

"Nice Cass. Just making sure the house hasn't burned down."

"Funny. Oh, a package came for you today."

          "What kind of package?"

"A big one from Omni Corp."

Dammit, they sent the robot to my house. It was supposed to be shipped to my lair but the idiots screwed up the order. "Just set it aside. I'll open it when I get home."

"Uh, Mom. It's too heavy to move. Plus, the package is blocking the front door. It's well--you need to see this for yourself."

"Send me a picture." As the photo uploaded, I filled Barb in.

She shook her head. "Unbelievable. Those idiots will get a strongly worded complaint from me. I swear I sent the correct address."

          "I'm sure you did."

I sucked in a breath as I glanced at my phone. The robot was already assembled. Six feet of handsome hunk, eight packed abs, flawless caramel skin. Eyes a piercing blue. Hair the color of a crow's wing. All the anatomical parts were there and well endowed.

Aghast, I covered the speaker. "They sent me a sex robot," I sotto voced. "To my house! Naked! With my kids there."

Now that I have your attention...

"May I have this dance?"

Marilyn blinked, staring at Harlan Smythe, the CEO of the Eastern seaboard waste management conglomerate, with a flummoxed expression on her face.

She stopped in the midst of wiggling and shimmying, while her best friend and loyal sidekick Barb continued shaking her booty. "Seriously?"

All evening, Marilyn had been one step ahead of Harlan ever since she discovered he was attending the reunion. If he went to the buffet, she talked shop with some of her classmates. If followed her to photo booth, she took Barb to the ladies room for a quick confab. She had been avoiding him all night. Now he finally caught up to her.

          "No time like the present."

Check out my first ever villain turned reluctant hero with super powers ever written! A big shout out to my son Christopher for the drawing.
