I live in Kentucky with my husband and two fun-loving cats who inspired the characters Dirtbag and Scumbucket. I enjoy blogging, movies, biking, beaches, margaritas, and hiking. I'm eternally young at heart.

I started writing at the age of twelve, on the advice of my junior high guidance counselor, who suggested I keep a daily journal. I think she meant to write in it like a diary, but I wrote stories in it instead. 

I have long since forgotten the counselor's name, but the seed she sowed that day took root, though it took many years for me to bring those hidden stories to see the light of day.
