I’m working on a creative writing badge for my scouts group, (I’m aging out in June)
One of the requirements is to learn about two of my favorite authors and what inspires them to write. I don’t read a lot of non-fanfiction so I don’t have interviews to watch or articles to read so, I was hoping you might like to answer a few questions?
What inspires you to write?
How do you find motivation for your writing?

I did love the world building in Chosen by the Sky, the temples, the roles given by the Sky people etc, and in Savior from the Shadows, Shadow is such and interesting character and his relationships with Light and Dark are delightful :3
@BlazeKittsune Hey! Sorry for the late reply, Wattpad didn't notify me for some reason. I get random bursts of inspiration, especially when I'm brainstorming. I especially love worldbuilding and diving into magic systems, culture, and psychology. Usually before I write a story I'll come up with a few scenes or plot twists that I'm really excited to write, and they help me rekindle excitement for the story itself. Motivation has definitely come and gone over the years. Personally, I do really well with deadlines, which is why I post on a schedule. I can't always follow it to the letter, but knowing that someone is expecting a chapter at a certain time helps me write. Writing is also easier when I do it routinely- if I do it every day, it's easier to start each morning. As for a favorite, I'd say either Chosen by the Sky or Savior from the Shadows. Chosen has some of my favorite worldbuilding elements, and I think it has some of my better writing. Savior from the Shadows probably has an unfair advantage, since it's what I've been working on for the past 9 months, but I love writing Shadow's character, experimenting with player abilities, and exploring new character dynamics, particularly his relationship with Dark. @dreamnoblade18 I completely understand, and I know you weren't doing it to be malicious. The first time I adopted a book, I wasn't sure on the rules either. I just wanted to let you know, and I really appreciate you working with me on this.

@dreamnoblade18 Hey, I’m glad you have an interest in the AU too, but this isn’t right. AnonymousRook puts a lot into their work, and copy/pasting their chapters into your own book is something very hurtful to do to fellow writers. Writing with the same idea can be really fun, that’s why I share AUs in the first place, but those chapters are still their work. I’m less mad about not receiving credit as people who claim AUs can change the original idea a lot from what I started with, and more upset that AnonymousRook’s work is being taken. If they’re still okay with you making a book on the AU, it’s infinitely more fun to write your own take on the story and play with different scenarios with your own ideas, not this.

I've decided to put Savior from the Shadows on a brief hiatus for the rest of October while I work on catching up on Chromatober prompts.
