#MAFIA_SERIES Aanya, stop," Adwait said, his voice slightly louder now, laced with warning. She could see it-he was about to snap. Yes, yes, now he'll lose it, she thought, a thrill sparking in her chest. But instead of reacting with anger, Adwait simply leaned back in the chair, eyes locked on hers. Then, without a word, he began to unbutton his shirt-slowly, deliberately-each movement exaggerated, until he yanked it off and tossed it aside. Aanya's eyes widened. Her jaw dropped. Shock flooded her face. "Ahhh! Shameless!" she shouted, spinning on her heel and making a dash for it. But he was faster. Adwait stood in a flash, reached out, and caught her wrist mid-stride. She turned, her hand already balled into a fist, aiming straight for his face. But he caught it mid-air. In one smooth motion, he twirled her under his arm like a dancer, then leaned in and pressed a bold kiss to her left cheek. Her mouth dropped open again-outrage, disbelief, and something else flickering in her eyes. She didn't hesitate. This time she lifted her knee, aiming for his stomach, but he caught her leg with ease. Sliding one arm under her knee and the other around her waist, he bent her slightly backward in a dramatic dip. Before she could wriggle free, he kissed her right cheek. Then-thud. He let go. Aanya landed squarely on the floor, right on her backside. Crossing his arms over his bare chest, Adwait looked down at her, a smug smile playing on his lips. "You lost," he said. __________________

@AnshaFebin7 To others interfering: This is between me and the author. Please mind your own business. I’m allowed to express my opinion as a reader. You don’t have to interfere. If you disagree, that’s fine—but don’t speak over me. Let’s be honest. You didn’t just “take a break.” You disappeared from August 2025 to April 2026. That’s not a short span—that’s months of silence after starting your journey on Wattpad and building your audience here. Yes, life happens( your job and grandpa-I agree but I am not talking about that). But priorities show. You chose to focus elsewhere, complete things there, and then come back here. So let’s not pretend this was just about circumstances—it was a choice. And honestly, the way you said you’d complete it on Scrollstack first? That didn’t come off as dedication. It felt arrogant. There’s a difference, and readers can see it. I waited. Not blindly—but intentionally. I wanted to see the day you’d come back here, because I knew that would be the moment I’d decide what to do next. Because I’m not a blind follower. I value my time. And if I’m going to read something, I choose authors who are consistent and committed. This is a 50-50 journey—readers invest time and emotions, and authors are expected to meet that with effort. Also, starting here, shifting for your own priorities, and then coming back—it doesn’t exactly reflect loyalty to the platform or its readers. And yes, it’s confusing how a story stays up despite being inactive for so long. And please don’t bring in arguments like “power” or “this book is the best.” There’s nothing like “best” or “superb” in literature. That’s subjective, and it doesn’t justify inconsistency. So now that you’re back—good for you. And now I’ve made my decision.I’m dropping the book right here.Nothing dramatic. Just choosing better.

@hey_its_meera I absolutely agree with you. These authors blame readers for not being understanding and rant about how loyal they are but they loyal? They don’t even come close. They’re insensitive and irresponsible with no sense to at least inform the readers. And how arrogant they are. They started from here, people supported her here but what does she do shifts all her work there never ever caring how people supported her. She doesn’t deserve to be here. She only posts stories introduction and never even completes them half way let alone full and then even after all that they expect us to say and understand everything. When you can’t even complete a book then why post it? It’s pathetic really!!! And yeah you’re correct there are better choices.

"Seedha khadi rahiye," he murmured, tone innocent, hands... not so much.
As he wrapped the saree around her, his fingers lingered at her bare waist a second longer than necessary. Just enough to make her shoulders tense. Once-very lightly-he pinched her side.
She gasped. "R-Raghav-!"
"Shhh," he said smoothly. "Saree pehna raha hoon."
Liar.
He leaned in slightly to fix the pleats, fingers brushing against her back where the blouse dipped low. His touch was warm, teasing, unhurried.
Vanya's breath turned shallow.
Pagal hai yeh aadmi, she thought, heart racing.
Subah-subah hi shuru ho gaye.
He noticed the way she stiffened, the way her hands clenched at her sides.
And smiled to himself.
"Relax," he whispered, voice low near her ear.
"Aapne hi kaha tha... main pehna doon."
She swallowed, cheeks burning, eyes fixed stubbornly on the wall in front of her.
Kabhi-kabhi lagta hai... yeh mujhe jaan-boojh ke tang karte hai.
Behind her, Raghav was enjoying himself far too much.
But beneath the teasing, his touch stayed careful. Protective. Familiar. Like he knew exactly where the line was-and exactly how to make her feel seen, wanted, flustered.
As he worked on the pleats, he thought quietly:
> "Itni pyaari lag rahi hai woh,
aur unhein khud bhi ehsaas nahi,
har ek muskurahat qatl-e-aam karti hai,
aur woh masoom si, is raaz se anjaan hi sahi."
