I love reading, my fav genres are horror, mystery, historical novel, epic fantasy, sci-fi.  I also like to write but I'm a very self-critical person, so I rarely post anything online.

Anyway... I've noticed that lots of people here ask for votes, comments or for others to become their fans.  At times they comment a story and ask the author to comment back, vote for them and fan them. I don't agree with this trend. I want to only fan/vote stuff I really like and find interesting. I also don't want others to fan me or vote for me if they only do so as a "thank you", I want people to do it because they actually care about what I write.  I rather only have a fan or two that are genuine than hundreds that couldn't care less.
