I generally don't believe message posts along the lines of "hey this is [blank]'s cousin/brother/best friend/whatever, I got bad news for you. [blank] has tried to commit suicide/was found beat up/had a heartattack/had [other medical condition] and is on their way to the hospital/is currently chained to the bed/whatever. I just wanted to inform you about this"

          	WHO ACTUALLY BELIEVES THAT?
First off, why would you even think off informing anyone on social media of your cousin/brother/best friend without their consent? That's just... no.
Second, why would that be your first instinct?? Like I mean, if the person is already let's say in the hospital and maybe asked you to do this, I'd understand, but these posts usually sound like they're not even sure if the account owner's gonna make it! WHY WOULD YOU POST ABOUT THIS INSTEAD OF FIRST FOCUSING FULLY ON YOUR LOVED ONE? Like, even if there's nothing you can do to help, the most reasonable thing would then be to cry, run in circles, stress out, whatever, but not a post like that!
Third off, why did it strike you, out of all the apps your friend or whatever has, would they ever use wattpad (an app commonly known as writing app and therefore not even social media, technichally) as a way to communicate with people? wouldn't it be more reasonable to assume they use instagram or snachat as a way of communication??

In short, I've seen plenty of these kinds of posts and it sickens me how some people would lie for sympathy like that.
I'm not saying all of them are fake but please, if you see any post like that, don't just believe it but think about it rationally and with a good amount of scepticism.

Sorry for this rant but this just had to be said, I know people hate this message board thing but I wouldn't post this if it wasn't dear to me.
