Is there anyone here that ships Ada and Leon? Can you explain to me what the appeal is? In Resident Evil 2 there is attraction between the two, but as of Resident Evil 4 it becomes obvious that the attraction was only ever physical. In other words, Leon wants to smash, but the only one that Ada is interested in is herself. I can understand ships like Billy and Rebecca, Leon and Claire, and my personal favorite, Chris and Jill. But with this one there is no romantic backing, it's just sex appeal. By the time of Resident Evil 6, sure, there is probably something more. But other Resident Evil media suggest that Leon might be struggling with feelings towards Claire. I have a theory. Trauma bonding. Raccoon City was a very traumatic time for everyone who made it out alive. (except for Ada. She appears to thrive off of negativity.) Ada used Leon when he was already scarred for life. At this point in time, he has probably either never had a romantic relationship, or has only had shallow ones where the feelings were one sided. Ada showed affection for him during a point in time where everything was out to get you, and or eat you. She played the role of a romantic connection. She used him, and he knows that. But at this point in time his brain is vulnerable, and he felt comfort that he desperately needed on a psychological level. And thus, she became someone one that he could not let go. If this is the case, Cleon could also happen. And I suspect that the reason it hasn't happened yet is because Ada went in for the kiss. She's the one who sparked everything with that. Whereas Claire only played the part of the friend during everything that went on in Raccoon City. What are your thoughts on this?

@ApepTheDevourer Yeah I think that the way they’re dynamic was meant to appear, to keep the audience on their toes about what was really happening with the characters. But in Re6, Leon’s partner, I can’t remember her name but I think it’s Helena. She’s the one who notices that Leon truly loves Ada and fun fact. Is the only character to ever notice and point it out.

@LoneWriting2021 I appreciate it. This makes sense. I binged played the series, and up until Resident Evil 6, it felt like they were only after each other's bodies. But those two are never going to become a thing, they're both in way too deep in their lines of work

@ApepTheDevourer I don’t ship them, but I can explain this for you. In Re2 Ada obviously was using Leon, and she actually did fall for him, it’s why she gives him the rocket launcher to defeat Mr. X. It’s a classic case of feelings got too real. It’s different for Leon, not a lot of people understand this and I can see why. But Leon is in love with Ada. He knows who she is, but it doesn’t matter because he loves her and that’ll never change. Ada likes Leon, they have a connection granted it’s in the grey area, but what relationship is not. But both of them represent each-other. And see what they wanna see. As for Claire, I think it was obvious that there was something between them, but it was just lust I’d say. And that wouldn’t have went well for either of them. So that’s kinda the gist, of course everyone has their theories but this is my take on it. FYI, my favourite ship of all time is Jill and Chris.

So the slit mouth woman is a conscious entity, right? She's not just some vengeful spirit that offs people without thinking. What if she finds a guy that is so desperate for love that as soon as she takes her mask off he just plunges in tongue first into her mouth, with blood and all. I'm talking just the world's most desperate kiss. What would she do in that situation?
On the other hand, what if she finds somebody who just does not care and absolutely roast her like a pig on Christmas Eve? Like, just laying down how absolutely ugly she is.
Because apparently anything that is not yes or no makes her think about her life. What do you think she would do in these situations?

@OldManZev The first one would maybe lead to survival, since she must be as desperate as the guy that kisses her. The second scenario is most likely certain death, that's what I'm assuming at least. But what would happen if you just ignore her? Just walk past her without a word?

@OldManZev I really enjoyed that game, and I'm looking forward to the second part which comes out next year. It's a slow paced game that will test your patience but it is quite unique. Yeah, Norman did a great job just as he did as Daryl.
