When I first came up with After the Fall, I wanted to explore how humanity’s belief in its own superiority would be challenged by things beyond our understanding. For so long, we’ve thought we were the strongest species, but the meteorite shows how quickly that can change. It forces us to face something much bigger than ourselves.
The creatures coming from the Ice Wall represent all the things we’ve ignored or laughed off as myths. They remind us that there are still many mysteries in the world that we don’t understand. Maybe we were never meant to be the top of the food chain after all.
Another idea I wanted to bring to life in After the Fall is turning the myths, legends, and theories we’ve always thought were just stories into reality. What if these things were real all along? In this world, people gain powers, and they must fight to protect humanity from destruction and extinction.
I hope this chapter sets the tone for the series: one of wonder, fear, and the truth that everything we know can change in an instant. The real challenges are just beginning.
Thank you for reading. I’m excited to take this journey with you:).
