It's so stupid that I can have the same level of intimacy in a friendship with a girl and with a guy, yet it's assumed I'm dating the guy just because he's my best friend. Like no mom I'm not dating my guy best friend who goons to yuri from ddlc. And I hate how whenever I have a girlfriend it's never assumed we're dating. Like in my last relationship I would always hold her hand, hold open doors for her, hug her hello and goodbye, flirt with her as often as possible, let her steal my bracelets, hair clips, rings, etc, but everyone assumed we were best friends.
