          Welcome, Amy, to Wattpad. It's nice to meet you.
          
          Thank you ever so much for adding Risking All for Love to your reading list.
          
          The story begins at Holy Cross Mission in the remote jungle village of Bolahun, Liberia, where I was a Peace Corps teacher.
          
          My experience in Africa is woven into my narrative, and real people there inspired my characters.
          
          For reasons of nostalgia I wrote myself and the names of actual people serving there into the Prologue.
          
          In the Monastery Tea Room, they called me Perk. We are discussing Baby Margaux, who was left at the mission the night before.
