The first story I ever wrote as a six/seven-year-old was about 'an ugly princess'. Looking back at it, I realise my kid-self didn't quite tap into the full potential of discussing gender roles and beauty. But it revealed to me what drives my writing: challenging stereotypes and asking the weird questions.
PS: My Instagram where quotes from my work, including Aquaria, turn up (and sound totally cryptic out of context!)
