Don’t worry! By my estimate, we still have about 20-25 chapters left. I wouldn’t dream of ending it abruptly or leaving things murky.
Most of these will focus on Zhu and Elias (Jaxon, Aquila) building trust and deepening their relationship before the final act. (Oops, minor spoiler! )

No buffer chapters right now—I’m reviewing three at the moment. I always proofread and run them by my beta readers before publishing because, well… we kinda missed a subplot earlier. Don’t want any “wait, when did this happen?” moments!

Well, someone asked me in FFN why I didn’t make In Pursuit an "x Reader" fanfic… Well, you can totally be Elias or Jaxon if you want! It's like if you watch Spider-Man movie, "He’s so cool, I'm Spider-Man now!"
But seriously, giving my OC a name adds a personal touch. If you admire him, just imagine you're stepping into his shoes and interacting with Zhu Yuan. It's all about the experience!

Prologue Chapter edited; dropped a hint of small foreshadowing so new readers will be hooked!
Actually they both are the same, personally I choose Belle. That's why I really had fun with her interactions throughout the storyline.
If you want a comic relief, outgoing and energetic MC, you can stick with Belle.
Wise was quiet reserved, calm and analytical, but he has some humorous interaction with Fairy.
@Arganea_ I want to ask if it's zzz to choose one of the characters, if possible, which one would you choose, Belle or Wise? because I just played. Yuki_slayer
