@Lilbroblud Well for one yes, transcripts help a lot when writing fanfics especially if it's still running with the main plot. It helps keep a lot of the story in tact and where you are. Then basics of who your OC is, their background, if they have elemental powers, if they're just human. You have to sort of figure out if anything they do effects the plot, or if they're involved involved with it. Like with some of Aria's stories, if she says something to the ninja that later unlocks their true potential. You sort of have to have a roadmap of what they're doing besides the main plot. As I've written stories I found it tedious or repetitive if it was always the same thing happening and started writing more, like more things happen to the character. Building a family, friends, scenarios. It doesn't always have to have so much, but a little background can go a long way. Also think of their relation with the ninja, how much contact they'll have with them or Wu, Garmadon. Stuff like that. And if all else fails, daydreaming to some music always helps me.
