          A 400 page book typically has about 100,000 words. So it would take 25 of them to get to a billion words.
          
          The Encyclopedia Britannica has about 40,000,000 words. It would take 25 sets of the Encyclopedia to get one billion.
          
          The Remembrance of Things Past by Marcel Proust contains an estimated 9,609,000 characters (the largest book) according to Guinness World Records.
          
          So, it doesn’t seem likely there’s a book with a billion words.
