I think it's fine just the way it is! The simplicity is alluring and the lack of faces makes it a lot more desirable to click on it and read it.

I love the new cover!!! Although if I were to give one suggestion it would be to add an element that suggests romance. So a viewer would know what type of book it is. Otherwise, <3
