Jungkook is the child of Satan. Long ago, Satan created chaos, and since God couldn’t punish Satan directly, He punished Satan’s most beloved child instead — Jungkook. So Jungkook was cursed before birth. Because of the curse, he grows up emotionless, dark, feared, and surrounded by the presence of Satan.
Taehyung, on the other hand, is a merman and the prince of the water kingdom. He has always been curious about the world above the sea. On his eighteenth birthday, everyone in his kingdom gives him gifts. An elder siren (or elder from the sea) gives him a purple necklace. That necklace has the power to help him survive on land — it transforms his tail into human legs and also changes his clothes to fit in.
That same night, Tae secretly goes to the land for the first time. Since he doesn’t know anything about human habits, he walks around barefoot, not realizing humans wear shoes. While exploring, he discovers a sweet shop and becomes fascinated. He goes inside, smiles innocently, and tries pastries/cakes for the first time — and he loves them.
From a dark corner, Jungkook watches him silently, noticing this strange barefoot boy eating happily.
