This is a PSA, I guess as well as an update. I am not trying to get anyone to feel bad for me but I feel I need people to read and understand something. Covid is not a joke.
I haven’t updated in a while but that’s because I have been dealing with some very scary things due to covid-19. On March 15th my little sister was positive for covid. My household of six all got it besides the person who was already vaccinated- my mother.
But this was terrifying because my sister is currently on immunosuppressants because she has juvenile idiopathic arthritis or JIA. She luckily did not have to be hospitalized at any point but she was at risk for becoming very sick. But she got better as the rest of my family became sick with covid.
My dad has breathing problems already and unfortunately after getting covid he was rushed to the hospital after he almost suffocated to death.
I have had lasting health effects from getting covid as well, just not as serious.
We were careful not to go out unless we absolutely needed to and we made sure to stay away from my grandparents because my grandma has a heart disease and my grandpa has some other health problems too.
I just want everyone to know that there are implications and consequences for a lot of people when they get this sickness. Wear your mask and be safe.
