Guys, can I ask y'all something? We women have been oppressed for several 1000 years, haven't we? Feminism arose to give equal rights to both men and women. 
          
          Then why are these shitty books enjoyed by females, where the female lead is submisive, under confident and male lead is tall, toxic, obsessive, mafia man (you get the gist)? Haunting Adeline? Seriously? These guys would call Harry Potter childish and say that they read mature things. What? A romanticises abusive male lead who is forgiven for everything because he looks good. What the hell do these females want? Equality and these also a partner who dominates them? Stalking is hot to them? Obsession is hot to them? Step-brothers, step-fathers... what? That's basically pseudo-incest. Hell in my eyes it is just incest. 
          
          Before pointing out to men for being patriarchal, I guess we women need to assess ourselves first.
