Staring down at the blood soaked hand, which were shaking uncontrollably. My heart was pound so loud in my ears I couldn't hear them calling my name. My eyes, like a camera, were focusing and unfocusing on the body before me. My body was frozen in place you would of thought I was nothing more than a mere statue. Tears streamed down my face burning me as if it was acid on a person's face. My mouth barely hang open as three words left my unmoving frame.
"I'm a monster...."

The sun was beaming down against my pale scarred skin. Both of my eyes were struggling to stay open as the hot air blew into my face as I walked. Here the temperature was higher than anywhere else. I felt so thirsty even though I had gotten a drank not to long ago. Using my hand to cover my eyes, I looked upwards towards the sky. Where the abandoned skyscrapers graze the empty skys. Not a cloud in sight, returning to normal eye level that when I saw it. The creature loomed over its recent victim. Maybe I'll be lucky enough to escape..... Wrong move. I had stepped back into a heavily breathing, copper scented, dry skin creature.

I just lay there in my bed thinking to myself how lucky I am to still be alive. Pushing myself up slowly into a seating position, I took note of my surroundings. My bed was mine for sure but the room around me was different. Freezing at the sudden sound of a door hissing open. My eyes connected with a pair of pitch black ones, of a child.
