Hi.
Surely you’ve realized around now that I’ve lost motivation in writing The Magnificent Bean Army. It turns out I loathe writing in first person view, and I’ve come to realize that, in my opinion, the plot feels very rushed. In order to fix the story, I’m planning on tearing it down to the basics and rewriting it completely. The rewrite will keep the same characters, but build more on their backstories, flaws, and abilities. It will be in third person view, meaning bye-bye, Shadow’s point of view! However, Shadow will still be the main character, but he’ll have to share the spotlight with the others, since the chapters will likely switch focuses from character to character. What that entails is that one chapter would have Shadow’s inner monologues, thoughts, and feelings, without the reader witnessing the others’ thoughts; but the next chapter could reveal Two’s thoughts, or even Umbra’s.
My main point that I’m trying to convey here is I’m not giving up on this story. It just needs a refresher. When this said refresher will come is unknown, but it shall come with a better plot, a better view, and better graphics, perhaps.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
