Hey! I’m really thankful that you’re enjoying my story! So, here are some tips on writing one.
The most important factor is creativity and originality. I can acknowledge a person with creative ideas with bad writing, more than can I acknowledge a good writer with a typical overused idea. What makes your story different than others online?
Have fun writing it! Write down whatever is in your mind and don’t even worry about the grammar or sentence structure until later.
Get into your character’s mind and grow with them throughout the story. So, pretend you are your character and that you’re walking around their room or wherever they are. What do you see? What do you feel?
Observe real people. Listen to how they speak, move and react. It helps describing characters and with the dialogue. Make characters come to life. A character can’t be just perfect, or can’t be just purely evil-they all have flaws and good parts to them.
Read! The books that you’re interested in, even the big thick books XD Vampire Academy for example. You expand your vocab, and know how to format paragraphs. Which brings me into-always indent and don’t make big chunky paragraphs. Another bit of advice, never ever start a story with ‘Hi, my name is...’ or them getting up in the morning (it’s over used.) Get into the action into dialogue or something they are doing at the moment, or maybe even the characters thoughts.
Oh and a big concern I fight with many people on this websites are their titles. A title is not a sentence. It does not have OMG or WTF in it. Come up with a proper title that isn’t typical and isn’t a sentence.
Well, that’s it! I hoped that helped. Wow that was long O_O If you actually read that...o.o
