We wrote a poem, but It was random and not very good so we decided to refrain from placing it into a book.

          I once saw a bird,
          Flying defiant against the wind,
It raced forward without a word,
Searching in earnest for a friend.

          The wind began to roar,
The clouds grew thick with snow,
The bird still tried to soar,
And the midnight sky began to glow.

          The bird was still lost,
Flying alone  in the windy night,
It wanted to find its flock but at what cost?
The bird began to gain height.

          The bird saw a star,
          A star friendly and bright,
          The star was far,
          A mere dim light.

          The bird flew to it,
          Despite being far away,
The bird drew closer bit by bit,
As quick and graceful as a fay.

The star disappeared as the sun rose,
          Birds burst from the day,
          Signalling that night closes,
The bird raced to go play.
