I must make a small confession.
Though I once declared myself merely an admirer of *Stranger Things*, with no intention of venturing into its fanworks, Season Five proved… persuasive. I have since written a short piece centered upon Steve Harrington and Dustin Henderson, an unexpected inclination, I admit.
I am aware that some may raise a brow at the matter of their age difference. However, I do not perceive it as untoward; four years, in this instance, strikes me as neither predatory nor improper, and certainly not suggestive of any ill intent.
By this point in canon, Dustin has come of age, and I approach the story as such. Still, I understand it may not suit every taste. Should it not be to your liking, you are, of course, free to pass it by.
But for those who are fond of *Stranger Things*, and find themselves even slightly curious about this rather uncommon pairing, you are most welcome. It is but a brief one-shot and may even be enjoyed as a simple BL by those outside the fandom.
As for departures over such matters… I shall not give chase.
