Zakham khaaye huy, aazmaay gaye
jo kiyeh na kabhi, woh bataye gaye

dil main aaty thay sou sou tarha kay magar
          khwaab heelon bahanon, sulaaye gaye

aaj kha kay zakham aankhen roshan huin
phir to nuqto'n say nuqtay milaay gaye

thi derpaish ik maslehet chup rahy
woh ghaao pay ghaao lagaay gaye

teri dunia main Moula meri aankh ko
          kesy kesy manazir dikhaaye gaye

pee gaye kham'shi ka zeher jab suna
saray mehfil main mery siwaay gaye

Uthi aik thi tees dil main kahin
kha gai tan badan hosh aaye gaye

koi junbish hui na uthay hi qadam
khali aankhon say shabnum giraay gaye

16th December 2014
          BLACK DAY
          A TRIBUTE TO LOST SOULS

Written in blood a tale of fright
when pure souls were made to fight

A foe much stronger and heartless
walls still cry on flowers plight

Every year this wound bleed afresh
crimson ink then paint my sight

          Fallen tender treasured blossoms
sleep in every heart in quiet

          Eyes mourn their lively smile
floors long those steps and flight

A pain, what pain, such pain must not
be given to even foes as right

Traces are even no longer there
still I hear them cheer in delight

Go young angels go to heavens
let these hands pray for you all night

@shootingalaxy @shootingalaxy Thank you for your encouraging words though. It is a piece on which I can't feel happy even when praised for the craft. Allah Pak un ko jannat ul firdous main jaga ataa farmaay, Ameen Summa Ameen.

@shootingalaxy Very true, the loss can not be recovered we can just convey our heartfelt emotions and express how much pain we feel.

Kabhi baad e nou nay utha dia
kabhi taiz dhoop main soo gae
          mery sath sath falak tera
          bhi wakt acha guzer gea

Stepping in to emptiness
          drowning by the silence
          dull knife
          piercing into heart
          is your absence

I was having this conversation with my sister that readers think a poet is, what is reflected in his or her poetry... What do you think?

shootingalaxy

@AsterAnemone i feel it's upto poet how much he lets you in. The opinions we give might be none of poet's thoughts. We maybe right in judging but we cannot fully understand the feeling in poet's place.
(sorry i couldn't see ur msg before)

@AsterAnemone poet can reflect his inner self but the thing is how will the reader know? I mean we read something and make out opinion about the writer but how much are we right in our judgement based on the writings.
