I write stories that shine a new light on the world, be it on an ancient oak tree, a budding rose garden, dirty ivy, or a trampled patch of thorns.
I write characters who make me want to get to know them better, who learn from their mistakes, and who show me the good in the world.
I've been writing for ten years now, and my characters were my best friends when I was a teenager. I'm not the kind of person who fits into a box... not even a refrigerator box. I'm a bit old fashioned... but modern too. I learned a long time ago that you can look at the positive or the negative, and whichever of those you choose is going to shine on your path in life. I like to help people with little things and tell jokes to make them smile. Sometimes this simple gesture on my part makes my own day. I have three cats, eight plants and too many cool jackets to count. (Seriously I have too many... denim, military, trenchcoat... don't know why, I'm obsessed.) Well... thus ends the interesting tidbits. Enjoy my stories and have a good day.
I've never published anything online before and I'm trying it out. I may move stories on here to Amazon at some point. I love to hear thoughts about characters and situations in my stories :) and I welcome any feedback that includes a suggestion of how it could be written better.
