The feeling of utter accompishment when you have been working on several chapters for one of your novels - not only that but you are happy with the chapters - only to remember its not content you are yet choosing to publish. Writing Wizard Friends, can you relate?

Okay Writing Wizards,
          I have a stylistic opinion question to ask. I have a book that changes point of views in different chapters {taboo, I know but it's on a cycle and that's not the point}. For the sake of the storyline, I have each chapter with a goal or core, and with some, it's not taking as long to flesh out. Do I allow that?
          I worry I'm not giving some characters enough time {and I love them all}.Your thoughts and seasonings are appreciated!

@Astrid_R_D Give them as much time as they take to express what needs to be expressed. Not more, not less. Don't worry about timings being equal.

@Mr-polo thanks for repping our main absentee
            @Loneguard ouch on the irony. We dont talk that much. But tell Ella thanks! She is the only one who really answered my question

@A-Knights-Light You always manage to make my feel important. Thank you!!! And following your lead I'll take @Mr-Polo 's jab at us as a compliment

            But @Mr-Polo I beg to differ with you on so many things. But bottom line is where is your sense of Hope Seeking. I know yours is See Courage in the Small, but you arent acknowledging the small in this instance

@A-Knights-Light I know that but still

It is so disappointing when authors build this wonderful world or setting for their novels, but then they betray it and alter it throughout the novel to fit the love story to the heroic journey.

It is simply a handful of novels I have been reading on here. I've made poor choices in novels recently. One, I knew was a romance novel {which if you knew me, you would know, is an incredibly rare read} and the world was beautiful! Two starkly different cultures in morals and architecture and what is considered beautiful. It made the novel so enticing but slowly the setting began to morph. It was as if the writer had forgotten their original design. Suddenly the morals were not different nor were the two peoples.

@Astrid_R_D i need examples. Forgoin ones world from a romance story doesnt make sense. The world is concret and the story takes place in it.

Resposting from @IceFeathers

          "For All Of My Author Chums:
          This averages to about 22 to 23 chapters per novel, with the average chapter length around 4,280 words.

          {It is but a mere guideline based off of successful novelists, but I quite like the idea of a condensed book chapter wise, with each chapter's words having the room to lavishly bring stories to life}

@A-Knights-Light Why yes indeed Mr. Light. I have taken to continuing Unoffical Mates. It is well mapped out and I for one am very excited to see how I flesh it out. Now to simply find Beta readers for the first few chapters.

The Mini Rants of a Reader and Writer #1 :
          {Because there will inevitably be more}

          Why is it so difficult to find a novel where romance is not the center? I have only found a handful as of recently, and that is with me avoiding the larger name books. I search through historical fiction, looking for insight into another time and the adventures one could have had, but instead I find novel after novel with romance at the core of a different Era {which looking at history, is highly improbable}. Now, I am not a woman who is blameless, of the various novels I am secretly writing, one of my novels does have romance towards the center, but that is one of thirteen I'm writing! I seek out other bonds, such as family or friendship. Other times I make it so that even those relationships are on the back burner of the story. I admittedly do not often publish any of my novels in progress for more than a day and more than a time to see feedback, but I truly would love some reading suggestions- without the excessive romance.

@Lan-Hikaru I'm sure a portion of it is indeed that. It just makes bookshopping - both physically and on Wattpad - difficult.

@Astrid_R_D perhaps this romance problem exists because books are influenced in part by movie culture
