          Chapter 29 might be a bit late; I'm only 1k words in, and the deadline is in 6 days. I will try my hardest, as always, but I wanted to warn everyone just in case!

The publication has officially reached me! (ᵕ—ᴗ—) Normally, when chapters upload, I have them pre-written weeks, often months, in advance to make it easier for me, so I don't have to struggle with publishing on time. Now, although it's summer, which SHOULD make it easier for me to write, I have been busy with life, and chapter 28 was the last one I have pre-written. (;´ - `;)
          
          This shouldn't change anything (hopefully)! I will try to find time to write, even if it means doing it on my phone during band camp. (Anyone in marching band out there?)
          
          The next few chapters might be backstory-heavy, because I'm quite unsure how to write the Spring Tournament. (,,¬﹏¬,,) Now, it's 3:53 AM, I have work, and would like to go back to reading DBH fanfiction.
          
          Thank you for all the comments and votes on Hopelessly Devoted and Sunshine! (⸝⸝´ ᵕ `⸝⸝) You guys are awesome, and I couldn't have done it without you.           ALSO, before I forget, with the recent unfortunate rise of people using AI to write fanfiction (which is baffling to me in its own way), I would like to state that I do NOT use AI in writing, and I do not consent to my works being used/fed to AI for training. The wonderful part about fanfiction is that it's optional to write. Either learn how to, or wait until a writer has the same idea you do. Or you can commission someone! Either way, using AI for anything is extremely lame. Use your brain; you're smart, aren't you?

Staring at the word count of Chapter 26 breach 10k when I'm not done is quite scary... (•᷄- •᷅ ;)

Okay, I don't like doing serious posts, but it look like I have to clear some things up. 
          
          I got an email berating me for "romanticizing" sexual ass/ult and r/pe culture l, saying that people like me were the reason male victims aren't taken seriously. 
          
          And I'm so confused (????) because where in Hopelessly Devoted have I EVER romanticized what Shimizu was going through?
          
          If you're going to baseless accuse me of something at least check your sources and make sure they're accurate. The main reason I made Shimizu a man (other than the fact they were an OC at first) was *because* male victims aren't treated with the same amount of sympathy and respect as female victims. Most times they aren't even seen as victims, and I've seen my fair share of victim blaming and moronic idiots on the internet commenting "that should've been me, not him" and "you're lucky you even got to hit" under posts of male victims sharing their story. 
          
          Make no mistake, Hopefully Devoted IS meant to be romantic, but in no way am I saying that the "relationship" between Shimizu and Niagura is anything other than abusive.
          
          That's why I leave certain things/aspects of the fic ambiguous because the readers are supposed to come up with their OWN meaning, whatever that may mean to them. 
          
          Anyway, that's my rant. Don't email or DM me for "ragebait" that's really just you being weird. (⁠٥⁠↼⁠_⁠↼⁠)

          One again I'm asking for community communication even though no one EVER responds to these announcements (⁠´⁠；⁠ω⁠；⁠｀⁠). 
          
          I've been thinking a lot about Sunshine, and was wondering if you guys would prefer the black fem! reader over a male reader who's Tengen's 4th partner?(⁠・⁠_⁠・⁠;⁠)
          
          He's an OC, to be honest, and he has a twin who's Douma's husband (this is honestly spoilers for the rework, but I didn't say that... (⁠٥⁠↼⁠_⁠↼⁠)).
          
          Y/N would still be in the story if I'm writing it through another characters POV, she just wouldn't be the main character. (⁠ ⁠╹⁠▽⁠╹⁠ ⁠) I was wondering which one you guys would prefer because I was thinking about the rework a LOT while writing the most recent Hopelessly Devoted chapter! (⁠≧⁠▽⁠≦⁠)

          I'm not changing it because I think it's really funny, but GOD is that embarrassing that it took me this long to realize what I was calling Shimizu </3

If I remember correctly the kny was once accidentally deleted by your friend right (this is a new acc) I really love your kny story so much

          I have returned, safe and sound, thankfully. A lot of things happened, and my mental is a bit strained now, but I'll be fine (hopefully). ՞. .՞ I missed you guys, and I missed writing so much, so I'm glad I'm back! (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶) 
          
          The next chapter will be uploaded on 16-11-2025, and updates will begin to be released regularly on the 16th of every month! ˙˙
