Helloo my lovelies, it is I, Elliott, here with a OLII update. Maybe not a happy update to most of you but I digress.
          
          As I announced a while ago, I have been questioning whether or not to discontinue OLII. I’ve been thinking about this question for months on end and have come up with the conclusion that: yes. I will quit working on this project.
          
          Why? For many reasons.
          1. Lack of interest: for the past half year, I haven’t been happy with the rushed in plot I picked halfway through the story (I was a “plot? What plot?” Writer give me some slack) and genuinely don’t want to keep writing this storyline.
          2. Burnout: I’ve been putting unhealthy high expectations on myself to keep writing a story I’ve been unhappy with for half a year, eventually leading me into this big burnout rabbit hole.
          3. I just want a hiatus from writing fics lmao
          
          Along with those reasonings, I’ve found myself liking the format of A03 a heck ton, and have been wanting to switch platforms (at least primarily) for a few months now. I will still keep posting fics and stories on wattpad for my wattpad only fans, but now will be way more active on A03. 
          
          As for my hiatus, I’m unsure of how long I will be gone for, and rather not give anyone or myself expectations right now. (Can’t do that again..) Just know it won’t be forever—and I will return with an announcement of a new fic i’ve been working on, a fic idea I’m actually happy with and want to write!
          
          Though for you OLII super fans, you might (keyword: might) have some closure eventually. Who knows.. maybe one day I’ll decide to rewrite it. We’ll just have to wait and see. 
          
          For now, the one thing I can promise is that I’m making my leave for the next while as I take my long waited vacation. Thank you for reading both this and what we have left of OLII, and I’ll see you with the next story.
