I am Aurea Faye Penera Sibayan. Most of my family call me by my nick, "Au-au" or "Au". My sister calls me "Laaw" while my uncle--the closest one--calls me "Pastoya" which he got from my 6-year-old cousin who couldn't pronounce correctly the letter R. So instead of "Pastora", he calls me "Pastoya". My barkada call me by my nickname while my closest friends from High School call me "Aueei". But I still consider "Au" as the most special.
Father works as a Musician while mother stays at home doing the chores. My sister is three years older than I and is a college student at FSUU taking up BS Accounting Technology.
I was automatically sent to Kinder 2 at UCCP kindergarten school and graduated as one of the most outstanding pupils. I spent my elementary years at Florencio delos Reyes Sibayan Memorial Elementary and became the top student of the class. I was in the second section when I started my first year at Agusan National High School. When I got to the second year, I was ascended to the first section and maintained it until I graduated.
Since grade one, I was already a member of the Drum and Lyre Corps in our school. I was one of the twirlers and that was until I graduated elementary. I was one of the campus dance troupe's leaders and a choir member. I was also the editor-in-chief of our school publication although I still didn't have any interest about journalism that time. It just happened. Myself was focused mostly on sports. I was a member of our school's football team during the fourth grade and was once sent to a competition. I also played volleyball but loved badminton more. During my fifth and sixth grade, I was always sent by our school in every athletic meet to compete for the badminton category.
When I got to high school, I became demure and chose to stay silent and hide all that I possess. But despite to that, it was the time when I got interested to many things. I got to like writing, hooked to different musical instruments and started poetry.
