So, I'm an avid Klance shipper, however I think Klance lost 3/4s of its credibility with this new season. A major piece of evidence for it was the fact that the creators promised a ship like the one in LoK (Korrasami). They are rivals so and both females so it made sense for Klance. However, they are rivals by circumstance. Essentially, they are on different teams and pitted against each other fro that reason. However, Lance and Keith have always been on the same team and are rivals in that way. I honestly think that this promise applies to Allura x Lotor. They hinted at it soooo much in the new season and it only takes one glance to see the chemistry. They are on different teams working to bring those teams together. I'm quite sad about it but I honestly think that there won't be any other ships besides this one. The Voltron narrative would have to take a 180 to have more than one and this seems like the one that the creators chose. It would make sense as in previous Voltron shows, Lotor's goal in life was to marry Allura at any cost. I think the creators will take this and make it into a positive thing, just as they did with the white lion and countless other things.
