HJ Garrett has spent most of her adult life as a plus size single mom. As an avid reader, she grew weary of books that always described the heroine as petite and fragile, slender and sleek. In the back of her mind, she kept wondering, why aren't there books out there where the average sized woman gets the man? Since when is a size 4 the only size worthy of love?

Taking that notion, at the suggestion of a friend who loved the way she described a dream she had, Heather took that dream and has turned it into a full length novel, and currently working on a second novel.

Heather was accepted as a member of the RWA in 2009, and plans to attend her first national conference in July of 2014.
